I recently had the honor of photographing Marisa and Ryan's gorgeous wedding at the magnificent Biltmore Ballrooms in midtown Atlanta. Having photographed many weddings over the years, I can truly say this one was exceptionally heartwarming and joy-filled from start to finish.

An Emotional Start to the Big Day

One of my favorite parts of their big day was the ceremony itself. Marisa's uncle, who officiated the wedding, asked all the married couples in attendance to raise their hands - including Marisa and Ryan! Just months before, they had made the decision to legally wed ahead of schedule when Marisa's father, who was battling cancer, took a turn for the worse. They wanted to ensure he could walk her down the aisle as she had always dreamed. I feel so fortunate to have been asked to photograph that impromptu elopement ceremony. It was such a meaningful moment for them to treasure.

From Stunning Ceremony to Joyous Reception

Their November wedding celebration at the Biltmore Ballrooms encompassed all the warmth, style and flair you would expect from a fantastic Atlanta venue. With its white columns, glittering chandeliers and garden lawn, it was the ideal background for Marisa and Ryan's city-chic wedding. Marisa was radiant in an elegant gown for the ceremony. For the reception, she changed into a dazzling sequined party dress and danced the night away with Ryan in the ballroom. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, it was clear just how cherished this delightful couple is. It was an honor to capture all the joy, emotion and romance of Marisa and Ryan's special day.
