The Swan House at the Atlanta History Center is a dreamy wedding destination, combining history, beauty, and charm. With its scenic gardens and majestic mansion, it offers an unforgettable setting for your special day. Whether you’re envisioning an outdoor ceremony or an indoor reception, the Swan House has it all. As an Atlanta wedding photographer I’ll guide you through everything you need to know when considering a Swan House wedding including photos, cost, tips and more.
The Atlanta History Center Swan House, an Atlanta based wedding venue, is located in the historic Buckhead neighborhood at 130 W Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30305. The estate spans 33 acres, featuring not only the splendid 1928 mansion but also meticulously maintained gardens that will leave you in awe. Even if you’re not planning a wedding, I highly recommend a visit to soak in the stunning scenery.
Imagine saying your vows in the lush Swan House Gardens, with the mansion’s timeless elegance as your backdrop. The Grand Overlook ballroom is another sought-after gem, boasting a barrel-vaulted ceiling, Brazilian cherrywood floors, and panoramic windows offering your guests a view of the Quarry Gardens. Hosting your reception and rehearsal dinner here adds an extra touch of grandeur.
The Swan House offers flexibility to suit different budgets and preferences. Rental fees range from $8,500 to $12,500, depending on the day, time, and space you reserve. The food and beverage minimum ranges from $2,500 to $5,500, based on the day of the week and time of the year. While they have preferred catering options, you can choose your own caterer for an additional fee of $3,500 if they’re not on the approved list. No doubt about it that your wedding will be top notch.
For your dream wedding ceremony, consider the Fountain Side of the Swan House with its stunning estate as the backdrop. Alternatively, the charming Olguita’s Garden is a year-round blooming haven, perfect for intimate celebrations.
As for the reception, you can enjoy it on the column side of Swan House, relishing the extraordinary ambiance. For those who prefer indoor options, the Grand Overlook Ballroom at the Atlanta History Center is an excellent choice.
